Perinatal ( Prepartum and Postpartum ) Resources
Postpartum Support International has many resources to help families, providers, and communities learn about the emotional and mental health of childbearing families. They provide direct peer support to families, train professionals, and provide a bridge to connect them. Reproductive support, reproductive therapy, reproductive psychiatry and information on PMADs.
PostpartumMen is a place for men with concerns about depression, anxiety or other problems with mood after the birth of a child. It promotes self-help, provides important information for fathers – including a self-assessment for postpartum depression – hosts an online forum for dads to talk to each other, offers resources, gathers new information about men’s experiences postpartum, and – most importantly – helps fathers to beat the baby blues.
MGH Center For Women’s Mental Health provides resources for patients and providers.
MotherToBaby has fact sheets on various exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding; including medications, herbals, medical conditions, vaccines, occupational exposures, etc.
LactMed database contains information on medications and other chemicals to which breastfeeding mothers may be exposed.
InfantRisk App information on prescription or over the counter medications during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
